Complete high-performance digital tube tester kit, wired, adjusted, ready to use.

This kit consists of a main board shown in photo 2 and a set of pre-wired peripheral elements with power supplies shown in photo 3.

The features and performance are vastly superior to all traditional tube testers and allow for the measurement of a wide range of tubes.

The first photo shows the assembled device, photo 3 shows the set of connectors with pre-wired control elements and power supplies.

The last photo is an example of a tube tester in a suitcase, ready to use, which uses this module.

Summary of features:

Module dimensions: 146 mm x 133 mm maximum height 28 mm + backlit LCD display of 25 x 70 mm.

Single power supply: 110/230 V or 12V battery via an optional converter.

Consumption: 25W (35W max.) on AC and about 2A on 12V battery.

Plate voltage: adjustable from 0 to 450 V.

Screen voltage: adjustable from 15 V to 350 V.

Grid voltage: 0 to -100 V (via 10-turn potentiometer).

Plate current range: 0 to 300 mA in 2 automatic sub-ranges: 0 to 34.0 mA (resolution 0.1mA) then 34 to 300 mA (resolution 1mA).

Short-circuit protection: total.

Overall accuracy: +/- 5% +/- 1 digit.

Note: These values are real, the use of a microprocessor allows for ultra-fast measurement mode which minimizes power consumption. Few traditional tube testers are capable of such measurements because they require heavy and bulky power supplies - the famous Metrix 310, for example, is limited to 100 mA of plate current.

The operation of the device is very simple: it is sufficient to adjust, via 3 potentiometers, the anode voltage, the screen voltage (for tetrodes, pentodes, etc.) and the grid bias voltage to the desired values and, simultaneously, the corresponding plate current is displayed on the LCD screen. Measurements are made at a rate of 2 per second, which allows continuous reading of parameters and results.
